Anecdote: First Winery

Last October, my new Korean friends, my cousin, my roommate, and I planned to go to a winery in Woodinville. I met everyone in downtown Seattle at 1 pm. We were supposed to take a bus about one hour to get there. Things didn’t turn out the way we had planned. We did take the right bus, but we got off at the wrong bus station. We should have gotten off at the 131st AVE NE, not NE 131st ST. So we had to wait for the same bus. Unfortunately, the bus was only once an hour. We waited to get on the bus for a long time. However, this time we missed the bus station that we should have gotten off at. We were on the bus until the last stop, and it was already 3:30 pm. The winery was closed at five o’clock. We thought we had to give up and went home. When we were on the way home, we saw the right bus station. We thought the winery was nearby. Then we got off the bus to find the winery. We still didn’t find the winery because we didn’t know the exact position. We got lost again. So we really gave up. It was a bus trip. Luckily, we had a happy dinner in downtown, and we chatted a lot in English. This experience taught me that when I travel, I have to make sure how to get to the destination I want to go and bring a map in case I get lost.

(ps. We went to the winery second time on Jan. 7 finally.)
